Job Summary
As Creative Catalog Manager, you will support the Creative Catalog Director in continuously evolving and optimising the portfolio of ingredients and associated attributes available to our perfumers. Your mission will be to ensure that our Creative Catalogue enables winning fragrance creations whilst balancing profitability, intellectual property protection, supply security, complexity, sustainability, and regulatory compliance.
The role is based in our Scent Creative Center in Neuilly-sur-Seine (France)
Where You'll Make a Difference
Lead and orchestrate Olfactive Family Reviews with key stakeholders across Procurement, Sustainability, Regulatory Affairs, R&D, Product Development, and Perfumery to assess the strengths and opportunities within the current and future ingredient portfolio.
Drive initiatives aimed at improving category win rates and margins whilst reducing supply chain risks.
Lead the weekly and monthly Strategic Review Committee (SRC) meetings and ensure the effective progression of actions and projects arising from these discussions.
Manage ingredient attributes through established governance processes and tools, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of data used in formulation decisions.
Conduct analyses and provide insights that enable fact-based decision-making by leadership teams.
Communicate key Creative Catalogue developments, strategic decisions, ingredient changes, and alternative solutions to the global perfumery community through dedicated communication channels such as SRC News Flash.
Continuously monitor the ingredient landscape by developing strong relationships with strategic suppliers, attending industry events and trade fairs, collaborating with IFF's Corporate Purchasing and Analytics teams, and tracking competitive activities.
Support crisis management initiatives when required and provide guidance on ingredient sample logistics and operational activities.
What Makes You the Right Fit
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline.
3 to 5 years of experience working with key perfumery ingredients and their characteristics.
Good understanding of ingredient data management and portfolio analysis.
Strong interest in patents, supply chain management, ingredient registration requirements, and database management.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to translate complex information into actionable recommendations.
