None/Not RequiredCollins Aerospace is seeking a Project Engineer I to support the execution of engineering projects focused on process automation, equipment programming, engineering analysis, and equipment validation. In this role, you will collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and other cross-functional teams to support technical solutions, ensure project deliverables are completed on schedule, and contribute to the development and implementation of efficient and innovative manufacturing solutions.
This is an individual contributor position.
Your mission: to support the successful execution of engineering projects, contribute to technical problem-solving and process automation, and help deliver safe, efficient, and innovative solutions that improve manufacturing operations.

This position is based at our Santa Isabel, Puerto Rico location. You must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment. Relocation is not offered.
What You Will Do:
- Support Project Leads throughout the project lifecycle, contributing to technical planning, execution, and delivery.
- Assist with equipment programming, engineering analysis, and equipment validation activities.
- Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and other cross-functional teams to execute multidisciplinary engineering projects.
- Support the development and implementation of process automation solutions to improve manufacturing efficiency and productivity.
- Provide technical input to project planning, requirements, and execution activities.
- Translate customer and business requirements into production solutions by following established standards or developing new technical solutions.
- Support project task execution to ensure deliverables are completed on schedule and meet technical requirements.
- Assist with troubleshooting, problem-solving, and resolution of technical issues related to equipment and manufacturing processes.
- Support technical documentation, project updates, and communication of engineering status to project stakeholders.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, efficiency, and process optimization.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and less than 2 years of prior relevant experience, unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
- Demonstrated professional or educational experience communicating in English (verbal and written).
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Experience or academic background in engineering, automation, manufacturing, controls, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience with equipment programming, engineering analysis, validation, or troubleshooting.
- Ability to operate effectively in a technical environment and contribute to engineering problem-solving.
- Experience working or collaborating with cross-functional or multidisciplinary teams.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes, process automation, or continuous improvement methodologies.
- Knowledge of engineering tools, software, or data analysis techniques.
