Responsibilities and Tasks
- Product Engineering for Low Power DRAM (LPDDR) products supporting Mobile, Automotive, and Data Center applications
- Perform failure analysis through data mining, tester analysis, and silicon characterization
- Drive and implement root‑cause fixes in collaboration with Circuit Design, running digital/analog simulation to identify design issue.
- Validate circuit functionality and electrical performance across different operating conditions
- Support NPI activities, including bring‑up, characterization, and cross‑site handover
- Own LPDDR‑specific validation items (e.g., power, timing margin, IDD, training‑related behaviors)
- Applies AI/ML and optimization techniques to semiconductor validation problems, including test parameter optimization, failure-pattern analysis, characterization planning, and validation coverage improvement.
- Defines measurable objectives, constraints, baselines, and evaluation criteria before applying AI-assisted approaches.
- Validates AI-generated recommendations using circuit understanding, simulation, tester data, and silicon evidence.
Required Skills
- Strong electrical testing skills using ATE platforms
- Solid Electrical Engineering fundamentals
- Experience with data mining and yield analysis
- Good understanding of IC design and semiconductor devices
- Programming capability: Python/C++/verilog/system verilog is preferred
- AI background is a plus
- Familiarity with LPDDR architecture and JEDEC specifications is a strong plus
- Experience in test data analysis automation or scripting is highly desirable
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Marketing organizations
- Work with Micron Memory Japan and US Product Engineering teams
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Process Integration, Application Engineering, and Test Solutions teams
- Participate in cross‑site technical alignment and handover between Taiwan, Japan, and other global teams
Education
- Required: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
- Desired: Background in VLSI, Semiconductor Physics, or Nanotechnology
- Preferred: Japanese language capability is a plus
