Description

We are looking for a creative and energetic individual who is passionate about providing fun, safe, and engaging recreational experiences for youth. This position plays a key role in planning, coordinating, and leading County-wide recreation programs, including weekly summer camps, while supervising staff, volunteers, and participants.

Work Schedule:
Split Shift Schedule
- 6:15 AM - 8:45 AM and 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM
- Hours between shifts will be dedicated to administrative duties, program planning, staff coordination, and other assigned responsibilities.
- Assists with the development, planning, implementation, and evaluation of recreation programs for assigned populations; engages in problem-solving activities as needed.
- Assists with organizing activities, procuring materials and supplies, recruiting participants, preparing and distributing promotional information, and securing community support.
- Assists with preparing and implementing budget recommendations for activities as assigned.
- Prepares and maintains program documentation as required by the Parks & Recreation Department.
- Assists with inventory management for the Division as needed.
- Produces activity reports and other reports and projects as needed.
- May drive a County vehicle.
- Performs related duties as assigned.
Must be at least 18 years old. - Must possess a high school diploma or GED; an associate degree is preferred.
- Must possess a valid Driver's License.
- Experience working in a school setting and/or managing child care programs is preferred.
- Knowledge of community first aid and safety with Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Medication Administration Training (MAT).
- Knowledge of computer programs such as Excel, Word, Outlook, and the ability to learn the RecTrac system.
