Job Summary
Facilities Support Rep assists the Logistics Manager by moving equipment and delivering supplies to ensure that the facilities are maintained and operational. Work closely with management to resolve problems.
Essential Functions
Snow Removal and landscaping depending on weather.
Transport and deliver expensive productive equipment from storage locations to production areas.
Washing of equipment, particularly barrels.
Move office furniture, heavy appliances, computer, or office-related equipment.
Load and unload equipment from semi-trailer either by hand, forklift or pallet runner.
Assemble, disassemble, and repair heavy sections of pallet racking up to 18’ in height.
Mounting load beams, uprights, and screen as required per specifications.
Sort and repair wood slat, pressed wood, or plastic pallets to meet warehousing demands.
Operate assortment of hand-tools, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and various dollies.
Deliver supplies and equipment between building location in various weather conditions.
Operate company vehicle to perform errands.
Must be computer literate and proficient with common software programs, including Microsoft Office.
Provide back-up support to shipping/receiving department; sign for and log supplies and equipment received by commercial transports.
Additional Responsibilities
Operate Floor Scrubber at all buildings.
Miscellaneous grounds cleanup and maintenance.
Must have a valid state driver’s license and good driving record.
Support of and involvement in company, department, and/or safety policies, procedures, programs and activities.
Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
Job Qualifications
Helpful to have a general working knowledge of common office equipment.
Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing and spreadsheets.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Good verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
Employee must exert up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, 30 lbs. regularly and/or up to 10 lbs. of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include near acuity, far acuity, depth perception, accommodation, color vision, and field of vision.
During the winter, the employee will be working outdoors and shoveling snow in inclement weather.
