Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Relief in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic government transportation location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support visitors with outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report details according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, public areas, parking locations, and perimeter access points to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and help to verify authorized entry for staff, visitors, and/or contractors in accordance with government location requirements.
• Communicate with site contacts, first responders, and/or Allied Universal leadership regarding security-related concerns, maintenance issues, and observed policy violations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
