As a Security Officer Access Control Specialist in Granite City, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location where you will monitor entry points, manage access control and badge activity, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will deliver strong customer service and communication while supporting daily operations with a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or credentials, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas in accordance with post instructions.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Document visitor, vehicle, and/or delivery activity, maintain required logs and reports, and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and other security-related matters.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around access points, production-adjacent areas, and the perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
