JOB SUMMARY
Manages the productivity, safety, and efficiency of the assigned BU operations. The Job Holder must ensure that
customer requirements are met in the most timely and efficient manner possible in compliance with Good
Manufacturing and Good Housekeeping Practices, and Standard Operating Procedures. The Job Holder must ensure
planning, direction, and scheduling of team members’ work to optimize labor utilization and align with workflow.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Operations Management.
1.1 Ensures KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) are met.
a. Ensures that operational KPI, as contained in the Business Plan or contractual agreement with the
principal for each of the Business Units are achieved or surpassed.
b. Reviews KPI Reports for the Principal.
c. Analyzes and reports against agreed KPI to ensure that progress against the Business Plan is measured,
and that any gaps identified are remedied as appropriate.
d. Reviews and improves financial performance through financial analysis and effective operations.
1.2 Monitors daily DC (Distribution Center) operations.
a. Conducts periodic reviews and discussions concerning Transport activities with the supervisor and key
personnel.
2. Account Management/ Business Development.
2.1 Develops and maintains the business relationship with the principal.
a. Consolidates all KPI Reports across all operational activities, Transportation and Quality Management
System for the Business Review meetings.
b. Conducts regular business reviews with the representatives of the principals (weekly or monthly,
depending on the requirements of the principal and the complexity of the operations).
c. Prepares materials for Strategic Planning based on previous KPI performance and formulate new projects
and strategic plans to improve KPI performance and achieve a more cost-effective operation.
d. Conducts strategic planning sessions with the representatives of the principal on an annual basis.
e. Attends to specific issues and concerns, as raised by authorized representatives of the principal, in a
timely manner.
2.2 Develops and maintains the business relationship with the third-party service provider such as transport service providers, manpower providers and others.
2.3 Develops and maintains the relationship with the Government Agencies.
a. Ensures that the Company is fully compliant with all Regulatory Laws and Regulations governing business
operations relating to DC operations.
b. Establishes and strengthens a close business relationship with all key government agencies and staff
related to the Company’s Logistics OPC business through continuous compliance to established standards
and requirements.
2.4 Develops value added services to expand business with existing principals.
a. Provides support to the principal in terms of cost saving measures and related activities.
b. Maintains a system of continuous process improvements.
3. Financial Management.
3.1 Conducts Business Budget Planning.
a. Prepares and recommends business and budget plans for approval of General Manager – Transport
Operations and Vice President – Operations.
b. Ensures that all Capex is pre-approved in line with published Company Policy, and that all investments of
Capex into the business are measured post implementation to ensure that the investment is achieving
the initial stated objectives.
c. Strives to achieve new Business opportunities in conjunction with the Contract Management Team that
will enhance both the profitability and reputation of the logistics business.
3.2 Achieves the Annual Budget Operating Plan for the Business Units.
a. Implements the approved budget plan for the year and ensures that both APP (Annual Profitability
Portfolio) and revenue targets are achieved or surpassed.
b. Controls and monitors expense and achieves targeted revenue through an effective operation.
3.3 Ensure that Financial KPI Measurements are in place and that there is proper monitoring. Develop actions to ensure target achievement, Proof of Delivery, Revenue and Cost Accrual as well as Principal Billing and Supplier Billing.
4. People Management.
4.1 Ensures compliance to Environment Health and Safety Protocols across all operations.
a. Ensures that the highest level of Health and Safety is maintained.
b. Ensures that any deviations from these published standards are reported promptly to the General
Manager – Operations and SVP – Head of Philippines.
c. Ensures a clean, safe and hazard free work environment in all areas of the business.
4.2 Conducts Performance Evaluation.
a. Conducts regular monitoring of individual performance based on deliverables.
b. Ensures that all subordinate supervisors receive semi-annual and annual reviews in relation to their work
performance.
4.3 Develops personnel’s capabilities and skills.
a. Creates a team environment in the logistics.
b. Conducts programs to share best practice among different Business Units.
c. Coaches’ subordinates on important aspects of work performance.
d. Recommends development plans, promotion, or further improvement in areas of poor performance.
5. Report.
5.1 Prepares, consolidates, and analyzes the operations reports.
a. Consolidates all reports related to KPIs, productivity, EHS, and Financial from Supervisor and other key
personnel.
b. Analyzes all received reports by comparing the variances between the actual and the targeted
6. Quality Management.
6.1 Represents the company on all quality management system matters.
6.2 Ensures that processes needed for the QMS are established, implemented, and maintained throughout the
organization.
6.3 Promotes awareness of customer requirements and quality culture in the organization.
6.4 Reports to the top management on the performance of the IMS for review, including recommendations for
improvement.
6.5 Liaises with external parties on all matters related to quality, safety, health, and environment management
