Senior Product Designer

Sydney | Hybrid | Full-time

Our client is a large, ASX-listed organisation with a national and international footprint, operating in a highly regulated, data-intensive industry where the products people use directly affect real-world outcomes at scale. They're investing in design as a genuine strategic capability, and are looking for a Senior Product Designer to help shape how complex, high-stakes information is made usable for everyday people and professionals alike.

You must have strong research skills as a part of your process, this is very much a key part of the role.

About the Role:

You'll work on products used by a broad mix of everyday consumers and professional users, translating complex workflows and dense information into interfaces that are clear, trustworthy, and easy to act on. You'll partner closely with product, engineering, and subject-matter experts to design end to end experiences, not just screens.

You'll be:

• Owning design end to end for a significant product area, from discovery through to shipped experience
• Simplifying complex, information-dense workflows for a range of user types, including non-technical audiences
• Running and synthesising user research to validate direction with real users
• Contributing to and helping mature a growing design system
• Partnering with product managers and engineers as a genuine peer in shaping roadmap and scope
• Mentoring and raising the design bar across the broader team

About you

• 5+ years' experience as a Product Designer, ideally with exposure to complex, regulated, or high-stakes domains (fintech, insurance, health, government, or similar)
• A strong portfolio showing end to end product thinking, not just visual craft
• Comfortable simplifying complexity for non expert users without dumbing down the substance
• Confident running research and using it to influence direction, not just decorate decisions
• Strong systems thinking - you consider how a design choice ripples across a broader product ecosystem
• Collaborative, low ego, and able to build trust with senior stakeholders and technical teams
