Job Description:
The purpose of the internship is to support ongoing Green Hydrogen and power systems engineering activities while providing the intern with practical industry experience and academic development opportunities.
From Shell's perspective, the internship aims to contribute to the development and validation of BESS and Flex Facts models, support system sizing and optimisation studies, integrate third-party PSCAD models, and advance RTDS-based control solutions for future projects.
From Riccardo's perspective, the internship aims to develop technical competencies in power system modelling, energy storage integration, EMT simulation, and control systems. The assignment will provide hands-on experience with industry-standard engineering tools, exposure to collaboration with external technology suppliers and stakeholders, and opportunities to strengthen technical communication and analytical skills.
The internship will also support the preparation of the intern’s Master's thesis, enabling him/her to apply academic knowledge to real-world engineering challenges while fulfilling the requirements of both his academic programme and the internship.
