Description
Talis Group specializes in legal recruitment in Louisville, KY. Our law firm client, is an East End Louisville firm specializing in Probate and Estate Planning. They want to hire a Legal Assistant to join their team of highly successful professionals who specialize and care about the work they do for the Louisville community. Great opportunity to take an active role in compassionate legal care. Benefits offered: health insurance, life insurance, PTO, vision and dental. Hours are 8:30am-5:00pm Mon-Friday.
Highlighted Duties:
- Assist attorneys with Probate and Estate Administration, and prepare battle-tested documents: Wills, Durable Power of Attorney, Living Wills, Health Care Surrogates, and Trusts.
- Compose and send letters, emails, faxes, and other correspondence.
- Calendar and track critical deadlines.
- Coordinate with court and government offices to confirm services, costs, and appointments, noting same in our case management system.
- Schedule appointments and document signings.
- Serve as the first point of contact for current clients with questions and scheduling needs, whether via telephone or email.
- Collect additional information from client for preparing plans, trusts, and other documents, as needed; update all client contact information in internal records.
- Edit documents during signings and presentations as needed.
Highlighted Requirements:
- Legal assistant experience in elder law, or estate planning.
- Highly organized and self-driven individual.
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications required.
- Experience with case management systems preferred.
- Great communicator with the ability to develop rapport quickly with clients
- Ability to maintain calm, professional, and courteous service in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful, environment.
