Job Description Summary
The Team Lead, Clinical is responsible for ensuring the seamless functioning of daily workflows, while alsomanaging both clinical and back-office responsibilities. Key to this position is the ability to effectively schedule
staff to optimize patient flow and uphold the facility's objectives.
In addition to operational oversight, the Clinical Team Lead will cultivate an environment that prioritizes
exceptional patient experiences and fosters a culture of trust and respect among team members. This includes
providing strategic communication, training, and constructive feedback to all staff, enhancing their
professionalism and productivity in delivering high-quality patient care.
The Clinical Team Lead will collaborate closely with the Practice Supervisor to address additional priorities and
initiatives, ensuring the practice operates at peak efficiency and effectiveness.
How will you make an impact & Requirements
Responsibilities
• Oversee the daily clinical support operations of the assigned unit or clinic section.
• Support the daily operations of the practice to ensure a smooth office workflow.
• Handle callouts and need for re-scheduling.
• Assist the leadership with rounding on staff and collaborating on the development of goals/metrics
for staff performance.
• Assign patients to appropriate health practitioners to ensure optimal care.
• Create a patient-centered work environment where everyone is accountable for superior patient
experience.
• Assist with medical assisting duties, patient triage, and other back-office duties when needed (within
the scope of practice).
• Practice efficient use of resources, order supplies/materials, and oversee annual inventories.
• Oversee facility in terms of inventory and supply control; ensure exam/waiting rooms and lab/nursing
areas are stocked and sanitized.
• Address safety/emergency code procedures and infection control standards.
• Participate in required meetings and training.
• Assist all New Hires with onboarding ensuring NH has login information and a quiet workstation, with
regular check-ins to address any issues. Coordinate additional training after the new hire completes
orientation week.
• Perform all clinical best practices in taking care of patients.
• Monitor Athena Buckets and assist when needed in dropping claims.
• Answer phones in high volume periods and help address patient complaints or concerns.
• Demonstrate excellent guest service to internal team members and patients.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Clinical Certification (LPN, CMA, RMA) preferred.
• 1+ years of direct healthcare experience of similar scope.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions,
and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively to patients, staff, Providers, and other employees of the organization.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or
diagram form.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Proficiency with EMR systems and software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite. Athena
knowledge preferred.
• Ability to serve as a proactive leader committed to excellence in clinical practice and team
development.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
Physical Demands
• Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force
frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Repetitive motion.
Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The worker must have close
visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing;
viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading. Ability to lift to 15 lbs. independently not to exceed
50 lbs. without help.
