Role Overview
The Director of Math & Science designs and implements KIPP SoCal's TK-8 math & science approach, leading math specialists, AD of T&L, science, and coaches to drive equitable, inclusive, and rigorous academic experiences for all students. Through strategic vision-setting, capacity building, and continuous improvement, the Director plans and oversees regional professional development for teachers and leaders aligned to math goals, while overseeing the planning of academic systems and structures to operationalize the academic vision. he Director works collaboratively with the Director of T&L, Director of SpEd, and Director of Schools to support all schools and ensure that math instruction is culturally responsive, evidence-based, and aligned with organizational goals to advance student achievement across all KIPP SoCal schools. The Director of math may lead team wide, cross-content projects that exercises their project management and supports the team in accomplishing yearly goals.
This role primarily works inside of our schools. There will also be opportunities to work in our office just south of Downtown LA.

KIPP SoCal Public Schools offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience in a similar position. The salary range for this position is $114,618 to $171,928.
