Description
Infrastructure Maintenance: Rebuild storm systems, execute new installations, coordinate utility locates (OUPS), and perform line photography and location mapping.
Environmental Compliance: Monitor industrial, commercial, and residential sites for regulatory compliance, sample storm flows, and troubleshoot illegal discharges. Support the Sanitation Crew with yard waste removal.
Emergency & Safety Response: Execute snow removal from City roadways during winter emergencies, set up safe work environments by directing vehicular traffic, and assist the HAZMAT unit with hazardous spills.
Public Relations: Professionally address citizen complaints and feedback, handle emergency service calls, and maintain positive relationships with the community.
- High school graduate or GED required; some college is a plus.
- Must possess a valid Ohio driver's license with a good driving record and have a Class A-CDL or be able to obtain one within twelve (12) months of being hired.
- Experience in stormwater, construction, municipal work, or backhoe operation is a plus.
- Comprehensive understanding of heavy equipment, occupational safety practices (including confined space entry and trenching/shoring).
- Must be at least 18 years old and have excellent English-speaking skills.
Starting hourly rate is $27.30 per hour (position range is $27.30 - $32.68) with a robust benefits package.
