Description
We are looking for an Automation Stream Lead to join our Automation team.
The Automation team is responsible for building and scaling internal automation solutions that optimize business processes across Plata. We design and maintain complex workflows, integrate dozens of internal and external systems, and leverage AI technologies to automate operations, improve efficiency, and enable faster decision-making across the company.
As an Automation Stream Lead, you will take full ownership of our automation ecosystem, combining technical leadership with hands-on engineering. You will define the technical direction of the stream, mentor the team, and actively design and implement high-impact automation and AI solutions. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being a "playing coach"—leading by example while remaining deeply involved in architecture and development.
Challenges that await you:
- Defining the roadmap and technical strategy for the automation stream, aligning priorities with business objectives
- Designing, building, and maintaining scalable, high-load automation workflows using n8n and other low-code platforms
- Driving the adoption of AI-powered automations by integrating LLMs, AI agents, vector databases, and intelligent workflows into business processes
- Mentoring engineers, establishing engineering standards, conducting workflow and code reviews, and supporting the team's technical growth
- Collaborating with cross-functional and international stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
- Ensuring the reliability, security, and scalability of the company's automation and integration infrastructure
- Continuously improving automation architecture, development practices, and operational efficiency
What makes you a great fit:
- Proven experience as a Tech Lead, Team Lead, or Senior Automation Engineer ready to take ownership of a technical stream
- Strong hands-on experience with automation and low-code platforms such as n8n, Make, Airtable, or similar
- Practical experience delivering AI-powered solutions using LLMs, RAG systems, agentic workflows, and APIs such as OpenAI or Anthropic
- Solid programming skills in JavaScript/TypeScript and Python
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, Webhooks, authentication mechanisms, SQL, and system integrations
- Experience designing scalable architectures and making technical decisions for business-critical systems
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to optimize complex business processes through automation
- B2 or higher English level for effective communication with an international team
Nice to have:
- Experience with AI frameworks such as LangChain or LlamaIndex
- Experience with Jira Software and Jira Service Management, including advanced API integrations
- Experience with self-hosted infrastructure, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana
Our ways of working:
- Innovative Spirit: A commitment to creativity and groundbreaking solutions
- Honest Feedback: Valuing open, transparent communication
- Supportive Team: A strong, collaborative community
- Celebrating Achievements: Recognizing our wins together
- High-Tech Environment: A team of talented professionals passionate about building cutting-edge automation and AI solutions
Our benefits:
- Relocation support to one of our hubs — Cyprus, Georgia, Serbia, or Kazakhstan — with assistance for the employee and their family
- Flexible work from one of our offices or remote
- Healthcare Coverage
- Education Budget: Language lessons, professional training, and certifications
- Wellness Budget: Mental health and fitness activity reimbursements
- Vacation policy: 20 days of annual leave and paid sick leave
