Description
Position Summary/Purpose: The purpose of the Student Disability Services (SDS) Office Clerk is to interact with and assist students seeking information on accommodations in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Responsibilities and Functions:
- Document caller information and communication.
- Enter information into an existing database(s).
- Direct callers to online guides that explain the steps to seeking accommodation.
- Exercise judgment in discerning which issues require immediate attention from Student Disability Services Administrators.
- Scan and file student records into the appropriate folders.
- Assist with Ride Pass as directed.
- Maintain a high level of Confidentiality and Integrity.
- Additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Must have excellent customer services and phone skills (including handling escalated or frustrated customers).
- Attention to detail to ensure data is accurately entered into a proprietary database.
- Experience operating office equipment (i.e. computers, printer, and scanner).
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 Suite a plus.
- Must have valid Driver's License.
Equipment Used and Responsibility
- Familiarity and understanding of available assistive technologies in order to assist students.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Good interpersonal and communications skills with a good command of the English language in order to develop effective and trusting relationships with students.

- Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor’s program
- Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student.
- Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University.
You may be subject to termination if you fall below the minimum requirements.
