Job Description
As a Security Officer Communications Center Operator in Richmond, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Dispatch Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will coordinate security-related communications, monitor systems and access activity, dispatch personnel as needed, and maintain accurate incident documentation. Your professional presence and customer service skills will help support a welcoming environment while helping to deter incidents. - Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or vendors at a commercial real estate location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
- Monitor alarm systems, cameras, access control activity, and communications systems; dispatch appropriate personnel in response to incidents, service requests, and/or emergency situations.
- Receive and document calls, radio traffic, and incident information; maintain accurate logs, reports, and records in accordance with site procedures.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with onsite personnel and emergency responders as needed.
- Help to deter unauthorized activity by monitoring the property and communicating observed concerns to appropriate personnel.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
- Have access control and badge experience preferred.
- Have customer service experience preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
