MRI Senior Rotational Radiographer

Rivers Hospital, Sawbridgeworth
Full Time - 37.5 hours per week

As a Specialist MRI + Rotational Radiographer, you will:

  • Have a BSC degree in diagnostic radiography (or equivalent).

  • A postgraduate qualification and/or high levels of technical knowledge (desirable).

  • Have more than 3 years' experience in MRI.

  • Be experienced in a wide variety MRI scans

  • Have an understanding and empathetic approach to patients and staff alike.

  • Be respectful towards all individuals, including staff, patients and visitors.

  • Have a proactive and forward thinking approach to work.

  • Ensure a service of the highest quality is delivered with sensitivity and compassion.

  • Demonstrate excellent communication and team working abilities.

  • As well as highly skilled in MRI, you will also be experienced in another modality such as CT, and X-ray and have some experience with Siemans equipment.


Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Deliver a high-quality diagnostic imaging service for a varied caseload.

  • Be highly proficient in the use of all equipment within scope of practice.

  • Work with leading practitioners and cutting-edge practices, equipment and facilities.

  • Take an active part to supervise and develop junior colleagues.

  • Responsible for MRI safety in line with local rules.

  • To work within IRMER and own scope of practice, in accordance with the code of conduct set out by the HCPC.

  • Participate in departmental audits and Quality Assurance programme.

  • Provide support to the Clinical Lead Radiographers.

  • Ensure equipment is safe and fit for purpose and, can report faults in line with Ramsay Health policy.

  • Competency in IV cannulation is essential.

  • Provide input to the review, update and implementation of departmental policy and procedural changes.

  • Comply with all Ramsay Health policies and procedures.

  • Ensure all records are maintained in line with statutory and organisational requirements.

  • Participation in General x-ray.

  • Participate in on call CT rota (must be able to attend site within one hour of call activation).
