As a Maintenance Technician II, you will play an important role in supporting the safe and reliable operation of our gas transmission facilities. In this hands-on field position, you will perform inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities on critical mechanical systems that help ensure the continued delivery of natural gas to communities and customers across North America.

What You Will Do:
Perform inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and compliance activities on station equipment and mechanical systems.
Maintain and support air systems, air dryer systems, fuel systems, cooling systems, gas compression equipment, and prime movers.
Recognize, respond to, and report abnormal operating conditions to help ensure safe and reliable operations.
Complete required documentation, reports, and maintenance records accurately and in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Operation & Maintenance (O&M) manuals, and all applicable company policies and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with operations, maintenance teams, contractors, and other stakeholders to support operational goals and asset reliability.
Assist with additional operational tasks, which may include equipment operation, measurement, telecommunications, electrical controls, and other maintenance-related activities based on business needs.
Who You Are:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of two years of directly related training and/or mechanical maintenance experience.
Strong mechanical aptitude with demonstrated troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Knowledge of safe work practices and a commitment to following Enbridge safety policies, procedures, and programs.
Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.
Proficiency with standard computer and office software applications.
Valid driver's license with the ability to maintain driving privileges.
Preferred:
Experience maintaining and repairing pipeline, compressor station, or industrial mechanical equipment.
Working knowledge of gas transmission operations and related maintenance practices.
Experience with rotating equipment, compressors, Catepillar high speed engine compressor, cooling systems, fuel systems, and auxiliary station equipment.
Demonstrated desire to learn, develop technical expertise, and progress within the Mechanical Technician career path.
Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements applicable to pipeline or energy operations.
Working Conditions:
Primarily field-based role with outdoor work performed in varying weather and environmental conditions.
Regular physical activity including lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing ladders, kneeling, reaching, walking on uneven terrain, and working around industrial equipment.
Requires participation in overtime, weekend work, shift schedules, on-call rotations, standby assignments, and overnight travel as business needs dictate.
Must reside within, or be willing to relocate to within, 30 miles of the assigned reporting location.
Safety Critical and Safety Sensitive position requiring strict adherence to company safety standards and policies.
Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:
Grasping, kneeling, light – moderate lifting (objects up to 50 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.

Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
Salary:
Ranges from $32.25 – $48.50 hourly USD for US locations based upon candidate’s experience, skills, and internal equity.
Applicable compensation policies and guidelines apply to internal candidates.
