How you'll make an impact in this role
Assist in providing pastoral care to patients, their family members and organizational staff.
- Perform or assist with performing pastoral visitation, public worship services and outreach services in assigned areas or to specific faith groups.
- Assist with assessing and responding to the spiritual and emotional needs of those counseled, including crisis intervention and bereavement.
- Participate in Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) curriculum and demonstrate a commitment to learning about the ministry of pastoral care, about oneself as a minister and the ways in which one's ministry affects those served.
- Document visits and interventions appropriately according to the standards of the healthcare organization.
What minimum qualifications you'll need
Education:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Master's degree in a Theology, Spirituality or related field preferred.
- 1 unit of Clinical Pastoral Education accredited by ACPE is preferred.
- Ordination or equivalency in faith group is preferred.
Work Experience:
- 3 years of experience preferred.
