About the Role
Total Wine & More is seeking a talented Associate Buyer, Food & Other Beverage to join our Merchandising team in Bethesda, MD. You will support the food and other beverage team to manage store-facing issue resolution, setting up new products, and executing routine processes and reporting. Your work will involve cross-department collaboration with stores, marketing, pricing, and accounting departments. You will report to the Manager, Food & Other Beverage.
You will
- Manage and resolve store-facing issues for the Food & Other Beverage department, serving as the key point of contact to troubleshoot problems, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and ensure timely solutions that support smooth retail operations.
- Coordinate with internal and external partners on new store set ups and delivery schedules.
- Work externally with suppliers and our teams to manage Beverage and Food items in our assortment, ensuring information is accurate and up-to-date. Research and address accounting issues as they arise.
- Assist with the set-up of new items and ordering.
- Run weekly reporting as assigned.
- Provide support in Merchandising projects as assigned.
- Must be able to prioritize many assignments simultaneously, and work under tight deadlines.
You will come with
- A Bachelor's degree preferred
- Less than 1 year of work experience in a corporate retail role
- Experience in retail supply chain management or purchasing is a plus
- Basic Accounting skills and interest in performing accounting tasks
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Proficient in Outlook, Word, and Excel (can perform complex functions)
- Attention to detail with strong follow-up and time management skills to support cross-functional teams.
