Sr Quality Engineer

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Sr Quality Engineer.

## What you’ll do:

Responsible for analyzing data, generating control plans and following up on process improvement to ensure product quality and customer satisfaction. Identify problems in production areas and address them to get to the root cause through the use of troubleshooting tools in collaboration with other departments.

Responsabilidades de la posición:

1\. Supervise the assurance the quality of the products through audits.

2\. Generate documentation to execute audits in the productive areas.

3\. Review and approve MSA (Measurement System Analysis) studies.

4\. Follow up PFMEA (Failure Mode and Effect Analysis) in conjunction along with the cross-functional team.

5\. Develop and implement quality control plans to establish the necessary actions to ensure that the product meets the specifications required by the customer.

6\. Generate and follow up PPAP documentation.

7\. Propose immediate corrective actions by implementing rapid problem solving techniques and tracks their completion status and effectiveness.

8\. Follow-up of non-conformities, review and analyze the results obtained to close the non-conformity.

9\. Create and post quality alerts.

10\. Follow up of actions to close Deviations.

11\. Scrap analysis.

12\. Supervise the perform quality inspections and tests to ensure compliance with standards.

13\. Analyze data and trends to identify areas of improvement and propose solutions, as well as perform statistical reporting.

14\. Safeguard suspect material for further analysis.

15\. Train quality personnel on procedures and instructions.

16\. Support and develpment of quality engineers and quality engineering techinicians

17\. Develop new procedures and instructions for quality performance improvement.

18\. Support quality manager on any other activities requested.

## Qualifications:

Nivel de educación:

• Bachelor’s degree Engineering, business administration or other science.

Años y área de experiencia:

• Minimum experience of 3-5 years in similar positions.

Conocimiento Técnico:

• Knowledge in quality methodologies for problem solving (8D's, 5 why, A3, Pareto diagrams, Ishikawa diagram, etc.).
• Knowledge in Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC).
• Minitab.
• Visio.
• Measuring equipment (vernier, micrometer, Keyence vision systems, microscope).
• Apis IQ-RM.
• Powerlink (Infor XA).
• AS-400.
• TRESS system for supervisors.
• Fluent English
• Knowledge and experience with manufacturing processes.
• Strong computer applications skills; Minitab, Microsoft Office, MS Project, MS Vision, Access Auto Cad.
• Project Management Knowledge
• Preferable: Six Sigma Green Belt Certification
• Preferable: Certified Quality Engineer (CQE certification)
