About the Role:
MSS Security is seeking a Full Time Security Officer to join our team and work across our corporate sites in Melbourne CBD and data centre in Burwood East. The successful applicant will have demonstrated experience working within a control room environment, including monitoring CCTV and alarm systems, managing access control but also roving duties and customer service. This position requires 24/7 availability, including weekends.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Monitor CCTV, alarm systems, and access control to maintain a safe and secure environment.
- Conduct regular foot patrols and roving security duties across the site.
- Provide exceptional customer service and concierge support to staff, visitors, and contractors.
- Respond to incidents, emergencies, and alarms while completing accurate reports and documentation.
- Coordinate control room operations, manage site access, and support emergency response procedures.
Requirements:
- Full Australian working rights
- Valid Victorian Security Licence with Control Room Endorsement
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Valid driver’s licence
- 24/7 availability, including weekends.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a control room operator role (preferred)
- Experience using Gallagher systems (desirable)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including report writing
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
