We are seeking a talented individual to join our Safety, Health & Environment team at Marsh & McLennan Asia Business Services (MMABS). This role will be based in our Pavilion Damansara Corporate Towers, Kuala Lumpur office. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working as per respective team's arrangement.
Health & Safety Advisor
Supports the development and maintenance of effective health and safety management systems and risk strategies. Support and manage compliance across Asia region countries, while partnering with internal and external stakeholders to help identify hazards, assess risk, support safe systems of work, and promote a strong culture of safety and compliance.
We will count on you to:
Support departmental targets and objectives by ensuring timely and accurate appraisal of relevant and confidential information
Contribute to the development, implementation, and maintenance of effective risk strategies and health and safety management systems across Asia region countries
Prepare and maintain policy documents, guidance notes, proformas, hazard identification records, risk assessments, and safe systems of work
Conduct accident investigations, reporting, and follow-up actions to support continuous improvement
Use proprietary software to conduct scheduled audits, identify exposures and opportunities for improvement, and provide statistics and reports on findings
Represent the department and company in meetings, committees, working groups, project teams, and other internal and external forums as required
Travel across Asia, as needed, to support business and compliance requirements
What you need to have:
At least a Bachelor’s degree in any field
Minimum of 5 years experience in Health & Safety, Risk Management, Compliance, or a related advisory role
Strong understanding of health and safety legislation, risk assessment, incident investigation, and audit processes
Willing to travel across other countries within Asia
Ability to analyze complex issues, recommend practical solutions, and improve operational effectiveness
