Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our growing Water business in Sydney and play a key role in delivering major water infrastructure projects across Australia.
The Opportunity
Reporting to senior project leadership, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects throughout the full project lifecycle, from concept and design through procurement, construction, commissioning and handover.
You will lead multidisciplinary teams and work closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors and key stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the delivery of water, wastewater, recycled water and desalination projects across all project phases.
Manage project scope, programme, budget, resources, risks and contractual obligations.
Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning activities.
Provide leadership to multidisciplinary project teams and foster a high-performance culture.
Develop and maintain strong client, consultant and stakeholder relationships.
Manage project controls, financial performance, forecasting and reporting.
Lead risk management, commercial management and contract administration activities.
Oversee testing, commissioning and operational acceptance of water infrastructure assets.
Drive innovation, continuous improvement and sustainable project delivery outcomes.
Required Skills and Competencies
You are a proven Project Manager with significant experience delivering complex water infrastructure projects and a passion for leading teams and achieving exceptional project outcomes.
Essential Requirements
Degree qualification in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental, Industrial or related discipline).
10+ years' experience delivering major water, wastewater, recycled water, desalination or related infrastructure projects.
Demonstrated experience across design, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover phases.
Strong commercial, contractual and financial management capability.
Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing key stakeholder relationships.
Sound understanding of WHS, environmental and quality management requirements.
Excellent communication, leadership and negotiation skills.
Highly Regarded
Experience delivering treatment plants, desalination facilities or water recycling projects.
Experience in commissioning and operational readiness activities.
Chartered Engineer, PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent professional accreditation.
Experience within EPC and Design & Construct delivery models.
