Technical Officer - Electrical and Instrumentation

We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Technical Officer – E&I to join us in our Operations & Maintenance team in Wilton, NSW on a full time permanent basis.

Reporting to the Team Leader Asset Operations, you will play a key role in maintaining and repairing electrical and instrumentation systems. This includes ensuring the safety and reliability of these systems, diagnosing and resolving technical issues, and complying with industry regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out routine electrical maintenance, testing and repairs on pipeline instrumentation, meter stations, cathodic protection systems and related electrical equipment.

• Assist with project delivery and commissioning of new assets

• Conduct site inspections and surveillance activities to ensure safe operations.

• Support the installation, commissioning, and testing of new equipment and modifications.

• Complete work records and reports to support compliance and maintenance programs & receive ongoing training and development to grow your technical skills.

• Participate in the on-call roster and respond to operational requirements including regional travel as needed.

Your background

• Electrical or E&I Australian recognised trade qualifications

• Hold or the ability the obtain NSW Electrical supervisor license

• Experience with EEHA and remote telemetry desirable

• Willingness to learn and practical, hands-on approach with problem-solving ability

• Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues within a good team environment

• Safety-conscious with good communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical staff.
