Job Overview

The Certified Coder I is responsible for reviewing medical documentation and assigning accurate ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and applicable modifier codes to support compliant billing, reimbursement, quality reporting, and regulatory requirements. This position performs routine coding review, charge reconciliation, and provider education under general supervision while maintaining productivity and quality standards.
 

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.

• Minimum one (1) year of medical coding, charge review, billing edits, or healthcare revenue cycle experience.

• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) required or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) preferred, within six months of hire, if not already obtained.

Compensation

$27.00 - $33.75 hourly
