Development Perspective: Future Team Leadership
As part of a structured succession planning process, we are looking for a Controller (m/f/d) European Logistics & Supply Chain Finance who is motivated to take on increasing responsibility and further develop their career within an international environment.
In this role, you will work closely with the current Team Lead and gain comprehensive insight into the financial steering of our European logistics organization. Over time, you will be systematically introduced to broader responsibilities and leadership-related tasks. This position offers a clear perspective to assume the Team Lead role for European Logistics & Supply Chain Finance in the future as part of our long-term succession planning.
Your Responsibilities:
Logistics Cost Controlling: Partner closely with the logistics organization to perform budget-to-actual analyses, ad hoc evaluations, scenario analyses, and management reporting.
Budgeting & Forecasting: Prepare annual budgets, periodic forecasts, and financial outlooks.
Closing Activities: Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
Management Reporting: Prepare, analyze, and continuously improve monthly management reports and KPIs.
Support the strategic planning of European logistics operations and develop business cases for the development of the European warehouse footprint.
Inventory Controlling: Analyze inventory levels, inventory variances, rework and scrapping activities to track financial impacts and identify risks and opportunities.
Projects & Process Improvements: Participate in international and cross-functional projects with a focus on enhancing controlling processes, reporting standards, and digital tools.
Leadership Exposure: Collaborate closely with the current Team Lead, gaining insight into leadership responsibilities, stakeholder management, and strategic decision-making processes.
Your Profile:
Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Business Informatics, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable qualification.
Extensive experience in Controlling, Finance, or a related analytical business partnering role, ideally in an international environment.
Strong business analytical skills, affinity for numbers and data, and the ability to translate financial insights into business recommendations.
Relevant experience in Excel and with BI tools; SAP knowledge as a plus
Structured, proactive, and solution-oriented working style combined with strong collaboration skills.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across different organizational levels.
Interest in taking on additional responsibility and developing toward a leadership position.
Fluent in German and English language, both written and spoken.
Willingness to travel according to business need within Europe.
