Job Title: Consultant General Surgery

SHORT DESCRIPTION

An excellent opportunity to join one of the most prestigious and leading hospitals in the Red Sea region of Saudi Arabia as a Consultant General Surgery.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide high-quality patient care in General Surgery.
• Provide consultative services as requested.
• Supervise fellows, staff/assistant physicians, and residents.
• Participate in the training and teaching of residents and fellows within the specialty, as well as research activities.
• Participate in committees and other administrative functions as needed.
• Perform specialized surgical procedures within the scope of granted privileges.
• Follow all hospital-related policies and procedures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education

• Graduate from a recognized medical school.
• Completion of the required training in General Surgery.
• Saudi, American, or European Board Certification, or an equivalent qualification.
• Membership and/or Fellowship status in America or Europe, or an equivalent qualification, meeting the requirements for Consultant classification.
• A qualification recognized by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) is mandatory.
• DataFlow verification is mandatory.

Professional Experience

• Minimum of 3–4 years of post-Board/Fellowship experience in General Surgery.
• Registration with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties, as applicable.

Language

• Proficiency in English; Arabic is an advantage.
