Description
This position requires creative and innovative thinking, knowledge of packaging material, date code requirements, computer systems and related mechanical understanding of machine operation.
Essential Functions of the Position:
- Prepare machine for startup and shutdown procedures on a daily basis, follow production schedule, and perform operator adjustments, quality checks, and repairs to machine as needed.
- Determine packaging material requirements for specific scheduled jobs, maintain logs for downtime, and complete all required paperwork.
- Adhere to QA processes and procedures related to Food Defense, HACCP, and Allergens, as well as all safety training and requirements to ensure all related policies and procedures are followed.
- Will need to operate forklift for materials.
- Work with numerous computer programs.
Requirements
Minimum:
- High school degree, GED, or equivalent required
- Good computer skills in Microsoft Suite, Google products and various other programs
- Ability to work alone or as a member of a team, good cooperative skills and may require flexibility in scheduling
Preferred:
- Above average mechanical skills
- Forklift experience (sit down/stand-up)
- Detail oriented and a quick learner with the ability to work within deadlines
- 2+ years operational experience in a food manufacturing environment
