JOB DESCRIPTION
The Sales Development Representative (SDR) will help expand Red Seat Ventures’ advertiser pipeline by identifying and engaging prospective brand-side marketers and other direct-buying prospects. You will conduct thoughtful, high-volume outbound outreach, introduce prospects to RSV at a high level, and schedule qualified meetings for senior account executives and sales leaders.
This is a new role on the Sales team, reporting to the Director of Sales. It is a strong opportunity for someone who enjoys prospecting, research, and building relationships, and who wants to develop a career in media sales.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Research and identify prospective advertisers, brand marketers, and media decision-makers who may be a strong fit for RSV’s creator, audio, video, and multiplatform offerings.
- Build targeted prospect lists using company research, CRM data, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, events, referrals, and other sources.
- Conduct consistent, personalized outbound outreach across email, phone, LinkedIn, and other relevant channels.
- Develop clear, compelling outreach messaging that earns attention and generates interest in speaking with RSV.
- Schedule qualified introductory meetings for account executives and sales leaders.
- Prepare RSV Account Executives and Sales Leadership for meetings by documenting prospect needs, relevant context, outreach history, and qualification details.
- Maintain accurate, timely activity and prospect records in Salesforce and other sales-engagement tools.
- Partner with sellers and Sales leadership to refine target account lists, outreach strategies, and qualification criteria.
- Share recurring prospect feedback, objections, and market insights with the Sales and Marketing teams.
- Coordinate with agency-facing sellers to ensure direct outreach complements existing agency relationships.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 1–3 years of experience in sales development, business development, recruiting, customer acquisition, or another role involving proactive outreach.
- Demonstrated ability to consistently make calls, send personalized emails, and follow up across multiple channels.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage prospects clearly and professionally.
- Excellent research skills and curiosity about companies, brands, audiences, and marketing priorities.
- Ability to identify relevant contacts and decision-makers within target organizations.
- Strong organization and attention to detail, especially when managing prospect lists, outreach sequences, follow-ups, and meeting handoffs.
- Comfort working with Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and sales-engagement or prospecting tools.
- Persistence and resilience when facing unanswered outreach or rejection.
- Ability to listen actively, ask thoughtful initial questions, and recognize when a prospect may be a fit for a conversation with a senior seller.
- Ability to collaborate closely with account executives and sales leadership while working independently day to day.
- Interest in media, advertising, podcasts, digital video, creators, or the broader creator ecosystem.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
