At the heart of everything we do is our belief that we bring the energy — the energy for change, connection, and growth. It shapes how we collaborate, innovate, and create impact together. If you are looking for a role where your contribution is visible, your development matters, and your work supports a more sustainable future, Scatec may be the right place for you.

Why this role matters
As a Quantitative Portfolio Analyst, you will help shape Scatec's portfolio strategy by translating market data, scenarios, and quantitative models into actionable insights. Supporting the development of our portfolio analytics and optimisation capabilities across renewable assets and offtake structures, your work will directly influence investment decisions, risk-adjusted value creation, and commercial strategy while building expertise in rapidly evolving power markets. The current focus is long and mid-term value, risk and resilience across our asset portfolio, using long-term price curves and scenarios, rather than day-to-day trading.
What you’ll be doing
- Take a hands-on role in developing our Asset & Offtake Optimisation Model into a portfolio management model on a rolling 3-year horizon, restructuring existing code into a maintainable, production-grade setup and integrating additional market data.
- Develop quantitative models for portfolio valuation, optimisation and risk analysis.
- Analyse European power-market data, long-term price curves, capture effects and scenarios, initially across Romania, Polandto support strategic decision-making.
- Evaluate offtake, hedging and route-to-market solutions across renewable assets.
- Build analytical tools and automated workflows in Python.
- Provide insights to investment, commercial and asset management teams.
- Present data-driven recommendations to stakeholders across the business.
What you’ll gain
- Exposure to renewable energy markets, portfolio strategy, and commercial decision-making.
- The opportunity to influence high-impact investment and value creation decisions.
- Direct exposure to senior management: your analysis feeds directly into investment and commercial decisions.
- Close collaboration with experts across commercial, finance, and asset management teams.
- Strong learning and development opportunities in a growing global renewable energy company.
What you’ll bring
- Master's degree in applied mathematics, statistics, physics, engineering, computer science, industrial economics, quantitative finance or a related quantitative discipline.
- Typically 2-5 years of relevant experience in quantitative analysis, modelling, optimisation, energy analytics, trading, consulting or a related field. Strong graduates with directly relevant project or research experience may also be considered.
- Strong Python skills and experience working with data, numerical methods, statistics and/or optimisation. Familiarity with version control and reproducible analytical workflows is an advantage.
- Experience from power markets, renewable energy, batteries or commodity markets is preferred but not essential. Candidates must have a strong motivation to develop practical power-market and commercial expertise.
- Ability to explain complex analysis clearly, challenge assumptions constructively and work effectively across technical and commercial disciplines.
- Language: Fluent both written and spoken in English.
