Job Description

As a Security Officer Front Desk Customer Service in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional at a government location, you will serve as a welcoming, professional presence while supporting access control and visitor management. You will greet guests, verify credentials, issue badges as needed, monitor entry activity, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or guests at a government office reception area by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and access protocols.
• Greet visitors, verify identification and appointment information, issue visitor credentials, and direct guests in accordance with established procedures.
• Monitor access to the location, maintain visitor logs, and communicate with authorized personnel regarding arrivals, departures, and/or access requests.
• Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Support a professional front-desk environment by answering phones, providing general information, and reporting unusual activity or security-related concerns to Allied Universal leadership and/or site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
