Liaise with suppliers, terminals, laboratories and inspectors to resolve technical issues and investigate off-specification product.
- Blending Control and Reconciliation – Co-ordinate and monitor blending activities, ensuring component volumes, blend calculations, product yields and finished product specifications are accurately recorded and reconciled. Investigate discrepancies, identify potential quality or operational risks and ensure blending records provide a clear audit trail.

- Systems, Stock and Data Integrity – Maintain accurate and timely records across SAP, Symphony, the Biofuels Inventory Tool and other relevant systems. Ensure contracts, purchases, sales, individual cargo movements, truck liftings, stock positions and blending activities are correctly recorded and reconciled.
- Financial Security and Credit Compliance – Ensure required financial security arrangements, including prepayment, Standby Letters of Credit (SBLCs) and Documentary Letters of Credit (Documentary LCs), are in place and valid in accordance with contractual terms and approved credit arrangements before relevant cargoes or deliveries proceed. Monitor documentation, payment conditions and expiry dates, escalating potential unsecured exposure.
- Commercial and Financial Control – Verify trade-related calculations, including freight, demurrage, product quantities and values, inspection costs, gains and losses, insurance and additives. Check invoices, minimise profit leakage and identify opportunities to recover costs or pursue claims.
