About the Role

We are seeking a high-performing, growth-minded Plumbing Manager to lead our operational hub in Manassas, VA. In this critical leadership role, you will oversee residential plumbing field operations across our local operating brands, driving top-line revenue, managing departmental profitability, and coaching field technicians. As JPB continues its expansion across Northern Virginia and the broader DMV area, you will serve as a key operational leader—standardizing best-in-class workflows, expanding high-growth trade offerings (such as jetting, sewer work, and pipelining), and positioning our plumbing division for scalable, multi-location growth.

• Competitive Base Salary: $110,000 – $125,000 per year (commensurate with experience).

• Performance Bonus & Profit Share: Uncapped quarterly performance bonus structure ($25,000 – $45,000+ target annual payout) tied directly to departmental profit margins, revenue growth, and team retention.

Core Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day residential plumbing field operations across the Manassas regional market, managing technician scheduling, dispatch flow, and productivity.

• Manage full departmental P&L accountability, controlling gross profit margins, optimizing labor ratios (targeting 18%–22%), and managing material costs.

• Coach, mentor, and support field technicians through regular 1-on-1s, field ride-alongs, technical guidance via phone/video, and structured skills training.

• Leverage ServiceTitan to manage dispatching, review operational metrics, track departmental KPIs, and standardize operational procedures.

• Drive expansion into specialized, high-margin trade capabilities including jetting, sewer repairs, and pipelining.

• Manage customer escalations with polish and diplomatic leadership, maintaining brand trust and keeping callback rates below 2.5%.

• Support field morale and technician retention by enforcing fair attic rotations, guaranteed hours, and a positive team atmosphere.

Required & Preferred Experience

• Leadership Experience: 3+ years of proven supervisory or operational management experience in residential plumbing service operations.

• Financial Acumen: Demonstrated capability managing departmental P&Ls, controlling labor and material expenses, and driving average ticket growth.

• Software Skills: Solid working knowledge and direct operational experience with ServiceTitan software.

• Industry Expertise: Strong background in residential service, replacement workflows, flat-rate pricing models, and dispatch optimization.

• Specialized Trade Knowledge (Preferred): Hands-on experience or technical familiarity with jetting, sewer operations, or pipelining is a strong plus.

• Licensing (Preferred): Active Virginia Journeyman or Master Plumber license (qualifies for quarterly licensing bonuses).
