The Role:
Position Overview
The Manager, Corporate Contracts is responsible for the strategic sourcing, negotiation, and ongoing commercial management of an assigned portfolio of corporate supplier agreements. This manager-level individual contributor leads complex sourcing initiatives, negotiates favorable commercial terms, and drives measurable financial value, supplier performance, and risk management.
Partnering with business leaders and cross-functional teams, including Legal and Finance, the Manager translates business needs into effective sourcing and contracting strategies that support organizational objectives. This role oversees the contract lifecycle from initial assessment and negotiation through implementation, performance management, and renewal while identifying opportunities to optimize spend, strengthen supplier relationships, and improve contracting processes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sourcing and contract management strategies for an assigned portfolio, including renewal planning, supplier consolidation, and standardization of commercial terms.
- Lead complex sourcing initiatives, including requests for information and proposals, supplier evaluations, total cost of ownership analysis, and recommendations for supplier selection.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to define requirements, scopes of work, deliverables, service levels, acceptance criteria, and implementation expectations.
- Lead commercial negotiations for master agreements, statements of work, amendments, and renewals, addressing pricing, payment terms, incentives, and other key contractual provisions.
- Review and develop commercial contract language using approved templates, partnering with Legal and other internal teams to address contractual, financial, privacy, insurance, and information security risks.
- Manage the contract lifecycle, including intake, review, approvals, amendments, renewal deadlines, and closeout, ensuring accurate documentation and records within contract management systems.
- Analyze supplier spend, market conditions, pricing, and demand to identify cost-saving opportunities, improve purchasing leverage, and evaluate supplier consolidation strategies.
- Develop business cases and executive recommendations outlining financial impact, commercial considerations, potential risks, and implementation requirements.
- Partner with Finance to validate savings opportunities, monitor negotiated pricing and financial commitments, and distinguish realized savings from cost avoidance.
- Monitor supplier performance, contractual obligations, rebates, credits, and other financial commitments; investigate discrepancies and coordinate corrective action as needed.
- Establish supplier performance metrics and lead business reviews with stakeholders to address service concerns, resolve escalated issues, and improve supplier outcomes.
- Lead supplier implementation and transition activities, ensuring contracted terms are incorporated into purchasing and payment processes and adopted by relevant stakeholders.
- Identify and implement improvements to contracting workflows, reporting, and standard practices to increase efficiency, consistency, and compliance with established policies.
- Provide subject matter expertise and guidance to procurement colleagues on strategic sourcing, commercial negotiations, and contract management best practices.
Required Qualifications

- Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives, influence senior stakeholders, and deliver measurable financial or service improvements.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing, commercial negotiations, contract lifecycle management, and supplier relationship management.
- Ability to evaluate contractual terms, assess commercial and financial risks, and identify issues requiring Legal or specialist review.
- Strong analytical and financial skills, including spend analysis, pricing evaluation, total cost of ownership, and savings validation.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence outcomes without direct authority.
- Strong project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple complex agreements and competing deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams, along with experience using contract management, sourcing, or procurement systems.
- Sound business judgment, attention to detail, and discretion when handling confidential information.
