Well-established property management company seeks motivated, organized, and friendly leasing agent for a beautiful residential community home to many diverse residents. Leasing agents play a crucial role in attracting potential residents, ensuring high occupancy rates, and providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Customer Engagement: Effectively communicate with prospective tenants, current residents, vendors, coworkers, and supervisors via telephone, email, and in person demonstrating exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive experience for all. Includes answering phones and responding to leasing inquiry emails in a professional and courteous manner, delivering telephone leasing and sales presentations, etc.
- Property Tours: Conduct property tours with prospective tenants, showcasing units and property amenities, provide information about local area, and address any inquiries potential residents may have including terms of occupancy, pricing, etc.
- Leasing Process: Assist applicants through the leasing process, explaining lease terms, conditions, and rental agreements, including the creation of leasing agreements and associated documents. Determine and certify the eligibility of prospective tenants, following government regulations and company qualifications.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of leasing activities, applications, work orders, and resident interactions, including apartment availability, unit status records, traffic reports, guest cards, etc. Report complaints, disturbances, and violations to the property manager. Knowledge of local rental market trends and regulations is a plus.
- Core Competencies: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse individuals. Must possess a positive attitude. Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. Able to prioritize and handle multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in real estate or property management are advantageous. General office skills required, including phone and email etiquette, filing, faxing, and an ability to efficiently use a computer, including typing, scanning, etc. Previous experience in leasing or real estate is preferred but not required.
