EMS Purchasing Manager to KONE

We are looking for an experienced and business-driven EMS Purchasing Manager to join our Global Sourcing organization. In this strategic role, you will develop and execute sourcing strategies for Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS), manage key supplier relationships, and ensure a competitive, resilient, and high-performing supply base that supports KONE's global business objectives.

Working closely with Engineering, R&D, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and external partners, you will drive supplier performance, commercial competitiveness, technology alignment, and risk management across KONE's EMS supplier network.

You will lead supplier negotiations and contract management, identify cost optimization opportunities, manage RFx and supplier selection processes, monitor supplier capacity and market developments, and support the implementation of global sourcing strategies. Additionally, you will build strong partnerships with EMS providers and electronics suppliers while ensuring the achievement of cost, quality, delivery, and sustainability targets.

This is an exciting opportunity for a sourcing professional with a strong background in electronics, EMS, supply chain management, and supplier relationship management.

What We Are Looking For

Qualifications

·        Bachelor's or master’s degree in engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

·        Minimum 7 years of experience in sourcing, purchasing, supply chain management, or a related discipline.

·        At least 5 years of experience within the electronics industry.

·        Experience of working with EMS providers and electronic component or semiconductor suppliers.

·        Strong knowledge of PCBA manufacturing, electronics sourcing, and supply chain processes.

·        Proven experience managing complex sourcing and supplier development projects.

·        Advanced negotiation and commercial management skills.

·        Strong supplier relationship management capabilities.

·        Solid business acumen combined with a strategic mindset.

·        Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

·        Project and change management experience.

·        Ability to influence stakeholders and work effectively in a global matrix organization.

·        Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

·        Fluent English, both written and spoken. Additional languages are an advantage.
