Description
Middle School Science Teacher
Federal Heights, CO | $40–$50/hour | Contract
Help middle school students build strong science foundations while developing the critical thinking and problem-solving skills they need to succeed academically and beyond. You’ll own the classroom experience, using rigorous instruction, student data, and differentiated teaching to help a diverse group of learners make measurable progress.
You’ll join a K–12 public charter school where educators collaborate closely, high academic standards matter, and the focus extends beyond academics to the growth of the whole student.
What You’ll Do
- Teach middle school science aligned with Colorado Academic Standards.
- Use assessments and student data to adjust instruction and target interventions.
- Build a structured, positive classroom culture using PBIS practices.
- Differentiate instruction and materials for diverse academic and social-emotional needs.
- Integrate digital curriculum and instructional technology into daily teaching.
- Collaborate through PLCs, team meetings, professional development, and curriculum initiatives.
- Communicate with students, families, and colleagues to support student success.
What You’ll Need
- Valid Colorado Teaching License with an appropriate middle school science endorsement.
- Strong science content knowledge and instructional skills.
- Experience using student data to guide instruction.
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
- Ability to integrate educational technology into instruction.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Bonus
- Experience supporting second language learners.
- PBIS, MTSS, or data-driven intervention experience.
- Charter or Title I school experience.
- Experience adapting to an evolving school environment.
