Who You Are

The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for supporting day-to-day accounts payable operations while assisting with general accounting and financial processes. This role reports to the Controller and offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience across accounting and business operations.

What You'll Do

Accounts Payable (Primary Focus):

• Process invoices, expense reports, and vendor payments
• Maintain and update vendor records in SAP
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
• Prepare and process AP checks and wire payments
• Audit freight bills and prepare debit notes as needed
• Maintain accounts payable files and generate reports

Accounting & Operational Support:

• Assist with journal entries and account reconciliations
• Support monthly close activities
• Assist with inventory, sales, and gross margin reporting
• Support commission calculations and invoicing
• Prepare weekly cycle count reports

Purchasing / Production Support:

• Generate purchase orders as needed
• Assist with issuing and receiving production orders

Additional Responsibilities:

• Provide administrative support as needed
• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors
• Support various accounting and operational projects

What You Bring

Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounts payable or accounting experience
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Strong Excel skills required
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems preferred

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills

What We Offer

Compensation

• Salary: $41,000 – $43,000

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Office-based role in Hackensack, NJ
• Occasional lifting up to 10 pounds
