Overview
Join W&LE as a Brakeman/Conductor trainee. Key responsibilities include operating track switches, coupling/uncoupling railcars, observing safety signals, and riding on moving trains. Must be physically fit, able to lift 85 lbs, and work outdoors in all weather conditions. Training includes 240 hours of on-the-job experience. After completion, Brakemen are promoted to Conductors, with potential future Engineer training. Full-time role with irregular hours, weekends, and holidays required. Travel within OH and PA is necessary.
