SUMMARY OF THE ROLE
Jotun Kenya is offering a Technical Service Graduate Trainee opportunity in our Decorative- projects team, ideal for recent graduates in Quantity Surveying or other Built Environment disciplines, to gain valuable hands-on industry exposure alongside experienced coating professionals.This role will involve providing technical and quantity surveying input in Jotun’s projects sites by participating in inspections for quantity take-offs, measurement verification and coordination of technical site activities, to ensure our coating solutions are applied in compliance to approved specifications and standards, contributing to successful project outcomes and customer satisfaction.
The role will be based in Nairobi- Kenya and will report to the Projects Sales Manager- Decorative.
What you will do:
Assist the Technical Coating Advisors in compiling technical and measurement reports during site visits and inspections, gaining practical experience on real construction projects.
Collect inspection data using Jotun's tools as guided to support preparation and completion of project reports and documentation.
Help coordinate project activities according to Jotun’s policies and guidelines by working closely with customers, contractors, consultants, and internal teams.
Participate in product trials and observe coating applications on-site to build practical technical understanding of our application criteria for specific products.
Learn how Jotun products are specified, applied, and evaluated to meet quality and performance standards.
Complete and pass relevant Jotun technical courses to develop your expertise in premium coatings.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR AND WHAT WE OFFER
Qualifications we are looking for:
A bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying (QS) or related Built Environment discipline.
Recent graduate with up to 1 year work experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
Fluent in written and spoken English.
Strong digital literacy and adaptability to new technologies and systems.
