$17.47 per hour - Full Time
At KenCrest, we’ve proudly served children, families, and communities for over 121 years. We are now seeking a dedicated Administrative Assistant to support our Early Learning Center in North Philadelphia. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, child-centered environment and takes pride in keeping things running smoothly for staff, families, and little learners.
What You’ll Do
As the Administrative Assistant, you’ll be the welcoming face of our center and the go-to person for keeping daily operations on track. You will:
Greet families, staff, and visitors, providing friendly and professional assistance.
Answer phones, share program information, and direct inquiries to the right team member.
Support the smooth operation of the center by handling mail, scheduling, filing, and data entry.
Process and file student and staff documentation using our electronic record-keeping system.
Monitor and order office and classroom supplies, and coordinate equipment maintenance when needed.
Assist in scheduling meetings, trainings, and family events; maintain conference room calendars.
Partner with the Program Coordinator and teaching staff to create efficient workflows that support the needs of the center.
Generate routine reports from various databases as needed.
Provide general clerical support to staff to ensure the center operates at its best every day.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
High school diploma or GED required.
At least 2 years of office or administrative experience; nonprofit or education setting a plus.
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and comfort with web-based programs.
Excellent communication and customer service skills—both written and verbal.
Ability to interact professionally with families, staff, and community partners.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a busy environment.
A positive, team-oriented attitude and the ability to work independently.
