We are currently seeking a highly experienced investment consulting leader for our investments group based in our India offices located at Gurgaon/Noida.

Director – Investments

This role sits within a global investments business that provides institutional investment consulting and advisory services, working closely with onshore investment consultants across multiple geographies. The team supports every stage of the investment decision, risk management, and monitoring process, covering data collection and analysis, investment strategy research, performance evaluation and reporting, asset class research, and related consulting functions, across institutional client segments including defined contribution, defined benefit, endowments and foundations, healthcare, insurance, wealth and management.

As Director - Investments, you will lead a large, multi-disciplinary delivery organization of investment professionals supporting institutional clients. You will own the end-to-end delivery relationship with onshore leadership, direct a team of senior leaders across service delivery, transformation, talent, and operations, and be accountable for the organization operating as a genuine, integrated extension of the onshore business rather than a task-execution function.

We will count on you for:

• Owning end-to-end delivery across the full range of institutional investment consulting workstreams, including portfolio evaluation and manager commentary, manager search and selection across asset classes, asset allocation review, IPS review, ESG and style analytics research, etc.

• Building and sustaining the delivery organization as an integrated partner to onshore client teams - trusted with judgment-led work.

• Owning the relationship with senior onshore stakeholders as the primary point of accountability and escalation for the delivery organization.

• Defining and maintaining a shared performance framework with onshore leadership that reflects business and client outcomes.

• Leading a team of senior leaders across service delivery, transformation and process improvement, data and reporting, and talent development, and building the next layer of leadership beneath them.

• Setting and evolving the team's operating model over time - how work is structured, staffed, and delivered - as client needs, volumes, and capabilities change.

• Owning the full talent lifecycle for a large team: hiring strategy, career development, and succession planning for senior roles, adapting the approach as the business and labor market evolve.

• Driving continuous improvement in how the team works, including documentation, standardization, and adoption of new tools and methods as they emerge.

• Managing capacity and cost efficiency responsibly, reinvesting gains into capability building and deeper client integration.

• Representing the delivery organization in business reviews and leadership forums, and building its credibility and visibility within the wider business.

• Ensuring compliance, quality, and risk governance are embedded across all workstreams, with risk surfaced proactively through a structured governance rhythm.

• Mentoring senior team members and building a durable leadership pipeline within the organization.

What you need to have: 

• Strong understanding of institutional investment consulting, wealth and investment management, and asset classes including equity, fixed income, and alternatives.

• CFA and/or CAIA designation preferred, with a relevant bachelor's or master's degree in finance, economics, or a related field.

• Minimum 15 years in investment consulting, asset management, or financial services, including significant experience leading large delivery teams.

• Demonstrated experience building and running offshore-onshore delivery partnerships, ideally within a global capability center or shared-services environment.

• Track record of leading organizational change, including evolving delivery models, managing stakeholder friction, and sequencing change deliberately over time.

• Proven ability to manage senior stakeholders with evolving expectations, maintain a clear point of view, and deliver results in high-pressure environments.

• Proven ability to lead large, multi-layered teams through hiring, development, and career-pathing decisions at scale.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex delivery data into clear, outcome-led communication for senior audiences.

• High degree of independent judgment and ownership; comfortable operating with significant autonomy and minimal oversight.

• Working knowledge of MS Office and reporting or dashboard tools, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
