Position Summary
Manage and administer strategic programs, grants, partnerships, and academic partnerships for the NYU Game Center in support of the department’s academic, professional development, and public-facing goals. Manage the operational and reporting functions associated with the Center of Excellence in Digital Game Development (CoE), industry-related grants and scholarships, NASAD and Princeton Review reporting, and other sponsored initiatives. Provide oversight of the department’s grant portfolio, including grant renewals, reporting requirements, financial activity, and ensure compliance with sponsor and University requirements. Serve as the department’s liaison with the Office of Sponsored Programs, government agencies, foundation and sponsor representatives and industry representative to interpret requirements, resolve grant-related matters, and ensure appropriate stewardship of sponsored funds. Lead and support a broad range of departmental programs and outreach initiatives, including high school programming, student career development activities, internship administration, incubator support, public events, and communications strategy.Qualifications
Required Education:Bachelor's Degree Preferred Education:Master's Degree Required Experience:3+ years relevant experience in academic or office administration including experience in grant budget development or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must include experience managing creative teams . Preferred Experience:3+ years Experience in academic environment and/or games industry position Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and written and verbal communication skills. Ability to interact with distinguished visitors, faculty, and students. Proven ability to direct and implement a variety of operations and activities, to communicate policies and procedures to individuals at all levels and use problem solving. Knowledge of standard office software, web publishing, and social media. Extensive knowledge of games and game industry.Additional Information
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $77,000.00 to USD $85,800.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
