Salary: $58,627.13 Base Salary ($37.09 per hour) + Super + not-for-profit salary packaging benefits

Your opportunity
As a Support Worker in our Tenancy Sustainability Program, you will be making a real difference every day for people across Katherine and the Big Rivers region who are working hard to build safe, stable homes and stronger futures.
This role is perfect for someone who knows and loves the region, who understands the importance of community, connection, and having a safe place to call home.
Each day, you’ll walk alongside individuals and families, helping them strengthen life skills, maintain their tenancies, and access local services and opportunities that help them thrive.

Your key responsibilities will be to
Provide practical support to individuals and families to help sustain their tenancy.
Assist participants to build life skills and connect with local services.
Support participants to engage with community programs and activities.
Complete case notes, documentation, and administrative tasks.
Build positive relationships with participants, community members, and service providers.
Participate in outreach across Katherine and the Big Rivers region.
Work collaboratively as part of a supportive team.
Requirements for success
Experience in a community, support, customer service, youth work, aged care, disability, or similar role is highly regarded.
A genuine passion for helping people and making a positive difference in the community.
Ability to build positive relationships with people from diverse backgrounds.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Ability to maintain professional boundaries, confidentiality, and accurate records.
Willingness to learn, take initiative, and adapt to changing priorities.
Basic computer skills and confidence using online systems.
Current Full Australian Driver's Licence.
Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications, and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.
