ACCIONA delivers a portfolio of metro and regional infrastructure projects across Victoria, spanning rail, road and civil works. These projects connect communities to essential services and support the state's growing transport network. The portfolio runs from design development through to construction completion, reflecting ACCIONA's commitment to safe, sustainable infrastructure delivery.
About Opportunity
As Construction Director, you'll coordinate and control engineering works across ACCIONA's metro and regional projects in Victoria, reporting to the Regional Manager, Victoria. You'll oversee engineering design management through procurement phases, act as the main point of contact for design development and delivery, and guide engineers and production teams. The role covers technical, financial and commercial guidance to construction teams, with accountability for schedule, cost, quality and safety outcomes across multiple concurrent projects.
Key accountabilities for the position will be:
- Analyse tender opportunities and evaluate direct costs
- Develop construction methods and technical submissions
- Manage cost plans, schedules and project cash flow
- Track quantities and budgets across design and build phases
- Apply digital engineering tools to plan site activities
- Manage risk across design and construction phases
- Set standards for safety, quality and stakeholder engagement
Required Skills and Competencies
- Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related
- Chartered Professional Engineer or equivalent accreditation
- Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g. Engineers Australia)
- White Card and construction safety certification
- Experience delivering large-scale ($100M+) construction projects
