Join our team and play a key role in driving the successful development of next-generation semiconductor products. As a Project Manager Product Development, you will lead cross-functional and globally distributed teams, ensuring project objectives are achieved while maintaining clear communication, effective risk management, and strong stakeholder alignment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to combine your technical expertise in semiconductor devices with your project leadership capabilities in a dynamic international environment.
Your role
Key responsibilities in your new role
- Manage product development projects from initiation through successful completion, including planning, reporting, and project documentation.
- Coordinate and align project requirements across globally distributed teams in Europe, the United States, and APAC.
- Lead multidisciplinary product development teams by clearly communicating project goals, assigning work packages, and fostering team motivation and focus.
- Establish and maintain effective team structures and meeting frameworks to enable productive communication among team members and stakeholders.
- Proactively identify, assess, and manage project risks while leading problem-solving activities and driving corrective actions.
- Facilitate technical discussions among subject matter experts and support sound decision-making using your functional expertise.
- Monitor project performance, milestones, timelines, and deliverables to ensure project success and achievement of targets.
- Act as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders and provide regular status updates.
Your profile
Qualifications and skills to help you succeed
- University degree in Electronics, Microelectronics, Physics, or a related technical field.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in the semiconductor industry, including industrial experience and/or related Ph.D. research.
- Strong technical understanding of semiconductor devices and power switching technologies.
- Solid knowledge of device physics, including:
- Silicon (Si) devices
- Silicon Carbide (SiC) devices
- Gallium Nitride (GaN) devices
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong presentation, reporting, and documentation capabilities.
- Ability to work effectively with international and cross-functional teams.
- Experience managing R&D; projects, including successfully leading at least one project from project initiation to closure.
- Formal Project Management certification or training (preferably IPMA Level C or equivalent).
- Knowledge of power switch technologies and Infineon's product portfolio.
- German language skills or willingness to learn German.
- Proven leadership and organizational skills in complex technical environments.
