JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Impulse, Inc. has an immediate opening for a DEVELOPMENT QUALITY ENGINEER in Athens, AL. The Development Quality Engineer will support new product launches and ensure APQP and PPAP requirements are completed according to AIAG, customer, and company standards.

Responsibilities of a DEVELOPMENT QUALITY ENGINEER include:

• Develop quality documentation for new product launches.
• Support APQP, PPAP, DFMEA, and PFMEA activities.
• Perform root-cause analysis and support corrective actions.
• Complete SPC, GR&R, and process-capability studies.
• Conduct internal and supplier audits.
• Support customer submissions, testing, and training.
• Collaborate with Engineering, suppliers, customers, and quality teams.
• Track launch KPIs and report quality concerns to management.

Job Requirements of a DEVELOPMENT QUALITY ENGINEER:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• Four years of relevant industry experience preferred.
• Manufacturing experience required.
• Electronic manufacturing or plastic injection-molding experience preferred.
• Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, GR&R, and IATF 16949.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• ASQ CQE certification preferred.
• Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or project-management experience is a plus.
