We are seeking a talented individual to join our Health and Benefits team, part of our People and Investments business at Marsh. This role will be based in Chicago, IL or Houston, TX. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office. Candidates must be available for the full internship period: Monday, June 7th through Friday, August 13th. We are unable to accommodate alternate start or end dates.
During this internship, you’ll work alongside Marsh’s 2,500+ U.S. Health & Benefits consultants that deliver disciplined and consistent approaches to benchmarking, data analytics, financial management, marketing, compliance, and communication. We will count on you to:
- Collect and analyze healthcare claims and utilization data, including cost projections and evaluations
- Support the Request for Proposal (RFP) process on behalf of clients
- Assist senior consultants in reviewing client needs, identifying suitable approaches, and supporting implementation strategies
- Model employee benefit contributions to help meet employer objectives
- Help prepare client deliverables and communications, including reports, spreadsheets, and presentations
- Support the National Survey of Employer-Sponsored Health Plans to create benchmarks of employers’ health and benefits plans
What you need to have:
- Progress toward a bachelor’s degree in business, mathematics, statistics, economics, health administration, health policy, or a related major
- Currently enrolled in a college or university with an expected graduation date of Fall 2027 or Spring 2028
- Preferred minimum GPA: 3.0/4.0
- Permanent, ongoing U.S. work authorization without the need for sponsorship now or in the future
- Ability to work Monday, June 7th through Friday, August 13th in Summer 2027 (no alternate dates)
